1. "Who is wise? The one who learns from every person… Who is brave? The one who subdues his negative inclination… Who is rich? The one who is appreciates what he has… Who is honored? The one who gives honor to others…"

    Pirkei Avot 4:1

  2. simplyisrael:

The Hebrew word for truth is Emet - אמת

The first letter Aleph (א) is the the first letter of the hebrew alphabet.
The second letter Mem (מ) is the middle letter of the alphabet.
And the the third letter Tav (ת) is the last letter.

There’s a deep lesson hidden there: Truth is consistent from the beginning to the middle to the end. Truth is not dependent on certain variables or temporal points. Real Truth is present throughout everything, from the beginning to the end.

All my babies in one place <3
Not including my Union Prayer Book from 1945, my Jewish Study Bible published by the JPS in 1999 (English only) and then my JPS study bible in Hebrew, only.
It’s a nice little collection so far, I think.
Any suggestions are MORE than welcome!!!! :-)

would you mind writing out a list of these books since some of them are a little hard to read the titles?
